Finding the right fit is an important part of choosing your Empress Kythene creation.

 

The following guide is designed to help you determine your ring, bracelet and necklace size. As the fit may vary according to the design and proportions of each creation, please also refer to the sizing information provided on the individual product page.

 

Rings

 

Measure Your Finger

 

For the most accurate measurement, use a flexible measuring tape or a narrow strip of paper.

 

Wrap it comfortably around the base of the finger on which you intend to wear your ring. Mark where the ends meet, then measure the length in millimetres.

 

The measurement corresponds approximately to your European ring size.

 

For example, a finger circumference of approximately 52 mm corresponds to a size 52.

 

For the best result, measure your finger at the end of the day and avoid measuring when your hands are unusually hot or cold.

 

If your measurement falls between two sizes, we generally recommend selecting the larger size.

 

Measure an Existing Ring

 

You may also use a ring that already fits the intended finger comfortably.

 

Measure the inside diameter of the ring across its widest point in millimetres and compare it with the guide below.

A Note on Ring Fit

 

The ideal size may vary depending on the design.

 

Wider bands may feel more fitted than delicate rings, while certain sculptural or multi-band designs may require a different size from your usual ring size.

Bracelets

 

To determine your bracelet size, wrap a flexible measuring tape around your wrist just below the wrist bone.

 

The tape should sit comfortably against the skin without being pulled tightly.

 

If you do not have a measuring tape, wrap a ribbon or strip of paper around your wrist, mark where the ends meet and measure the length against a ruler.

 

Your preferred fit will also influence the size you select:

 

Close Fit — sits nearer to the wrist.
Comfortable Fit — allows a little movement.
Relaxed Fit — offers greater movement around the wrist.

 

For chain bracelets, we generally recommend allowing approximately 1–2 cm beyond your wrist circumference, depending on your preferred fit and the design of the creation.

 

For bangles and structured bracelets, please refer to the specific measurements shown on the product page, as sizing may depend on the shape and construction of the piece.

 

If you are between two available sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger size.

 

Necklaces & Pendants

 

Necklace length determines where a creation rests on the neckline.

 

As a general reference:

45 cm	Upper chest / collarbone
50 cm	Below the collarbone
55 cm	Mid-upper chest
60 cm	Mid-chest
65 cm and longer	Long necklace / sautoir style

 

The way a necklace falls will vary according to your height, neck circumference, body proportions and the dimensions or weight of the pendant.

 

Where a necklace features an adjustable chain, the available wearing lengths will be specified on the individual product page.

 

Choosing a Gift

 

If you are selecting a ring or bracelet as a gift and are unsure of the recipient's size, measuring a piece of jewellery they already wear comfortably can provide a useful reference.

 

For rings, ensure that the existing ring is worn on the same finger and hand, as finger sizes may differ between hands.

Certain Empress Kythene creations may be eligible for resizing or adjustment after purchase, depending on their design, gemstone setting and technical construction.

 

Not every creation can be altered without affecting its proportions or integrity.
